According to a report issued by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the number of internet users in Pakistan has grown up to 12 Million by April 2007. With a population of 166 Million, this means every 13th person in Pakistan owns an internet connection.

Although the statistics still give the leading position to Mobile Subscribers, that are growing at 160% of growth rate.

Since 2007 the total number of Mobile subscribers have grown to 58 million and every month 2.7 million subscribers are added. This means that every 2nd person in Pakistan owns a cellular connection.
